These terms explain what Poof is, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We have written them in plain English on purpose. Where a term has a specific meaning, we say so in the section where it appears.

01Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, booking a call, joining a call, or otherwise using Poof, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Poof.
If you are using Poof on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
02Eligibility and minimum age
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Poof account. Poof is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or remove it.
03Description of Poof
Poof is a scheduling and access platform for short, time-boxed calls. Providers set their availability, the length of a call, and the rules for who can book. Clients book a call using a Poof, join at the scheduled time, and the call ends when the timer does.
Poof supplies the software: booking, access rules, credit tracking, the call room, and the timer. Poof does not supply the coaching, consulting, or other services delivered during a call.
04Account registration and security
You agree to give accurate information when you register and to keep it current. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Keep your login credentials private and do not share your account.
- Use a strong, unique password or a supported single sign-on provider.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
05User roles: Client and Provider
A Client books and attends calls. A Provider (also shown in the product as a coach) publishes availability, sets call rules, issues or sells Poofs, and delivers the service during the call.
One person may hold both roles. Provider accounts are also subject to the Provider Agreement.
06Providers are independent professionals
Providers are independent. They are not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of Poof, and Poof does not direct or supervise their work.
Providers control their own services, methods, advice, credentials, pricing, and availability. Any agreement about the service itself is between the Client and the Provider.
07Poof is a technology platform
Poof is a technology platform, not a coaching, counseling, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other licensed professional service, and Poof does not provide advice in any of those areas.
Poof does not guarantee any outcome, result, benefit, or level of quality from a call. We do not verify a Provider's credentials, licences, insurance, or claims unless we state otherwise in writing for a specific programme.
08Timed calls and automatic termination
Every Poof has a defined maximum duration, shown before you book. The call room runs a visible countdown, and the call may terminate automatically when the timer reaches 00:00.
You should not expect or rely upon additional time. Neither Poof nor the Provider is obliged to extend a call, resume it, or refund a Poof because a conversation was unfinished when the timer ended. Time lost to late arrival, device problems, or connection problems counts against the same duration.
09Poofs and recurring program access
A Poof is one call with one Provider, for a stated length, before a stated date. A programme or membership may grant recurring included Poofs on a daily, weekly, or monthly cycle.
- Included Poofs may reset at the start of each period and expire without rolling over, unless the plan explicitly says they roll over.
- Included Poofs end when your access to the programme ends.
- Poofs are tied to the Provider who granted them and cannot be moved to another Provider.
- Poofs have no cash value and are nontransferable unless we expressly state otherwise.
The Payments, Poofs, Cancellations & Refunds policy explains this in more detail and forms part of these terms.
10Purchased Poof packages
You may buy Poofs individually or in packages. A purchased Poof is restricted to the Provider and call type shown at purchase and may carry a stated expiration date, after which it is no longer usable.
Purchased Poofs have no cash value and are nontransferable unless expressly permitted.
11Booking, cancellation, lateness, and no-shows
Providers set their own cancellation window, approval rules, and limits on how many calls a Client may hold at once. Those rules are shown when you book.
- A Poof is reserved when a booking is made and consumed when the call takes place.
- Cancelling inside the Provider's stated window may consume the Poof.
- Arriving late does not extend the call.
- Not attending is treated as a no-show and normally consumes the Poof.
- If a Provider cancels or does not attend, the Poof is returned to your balance.
12Payments, subscriptions, renewals, and taxes
Prices are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the stated period until cancelled, and you may cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current period unless stated otherwise.
You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase where those taxes are not collected at checkout. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under its own terms.
13Provider payouts and payment processing
Where Poof supports selling through the platform, Provider payouts are made through Stripe and depend on the Provider completing Stripe's onboarding and verification.
Platform fees, payout timing, holds, reversals, and chargeback handling are described in the Provider Agreement and in the Payments policy. Fee schedule: [FEE SCHEDULE PLACEHOLDER].
14Call privacy and recording
Poof does not record calls by default. We do not store call audio or video unless a recording feature is expressly offered, clearly disclosed, and switched on by the participants.
You may not secretly record, transcribe, screenshot, or otherwise capture a call, and you may not distribute or publish call content without the informed consent of every participant. Recording laws vary by location and are your responsibility.
15Emergency-services disclaimer
Poof is not an emergency service. Do not use Poof to report an emergency, to seek urgent medical or psychiatric help, or in any situation involving risk to life or safety.
If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately.
16Prohibited use
The Acceptable Use Policy lists what you may not do on Poof. It forms part of these terms, and breaking it may result in suspension or removal of your account.
17Intellectual property
Poof, its software, design, branding, and content are owned by Poof or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the platform for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the platform except where the law says you may.
18User-submitted content
You keep ownership of what you submit — profile text, booking notes, messages, and similar. You grant Poof a licence to host, store, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you submit and for making sure it does not break the law or these terms.
19Third-party services
Poof relies on third parties for hosting, authentication, calendars, video, and payments. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and links to third-party services are not endorsements.
20Service availability and changes
We aim to keep Poof available and working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may schedule maintenance.
21Suspension and termination
You may stop using Poof and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, creates risk for other users, or is required to be closed by law.
Unused Poofs are generally forfeited when an account is closed for a breach. Where an account is closed for another reason, the Payments policy explains what happens to balances.
22Disclaimers
Poof is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant the conduct, qualifications, or advice of any Provider or Client, or any outcome from a call.
23Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Poof is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities.
Our total liability arising from your use of Poof is limited to [LIABILITY CAP PLACEHOLDER]. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
24Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Poof harmless from claims, damages, and costs arising from your use of the platform, your content, your services as a Provider, or your breach of these terms.
25Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION PLACEHOLDER], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
26Dispute resolution
Dispute resolution, including any arbitration, venue, class-action, and jury-trial terms: [DISPUTE RESOLUTION PLACEHOLDER].
Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
27Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date and, for material changes, give notice in the product or by email. Continuing to use Poof after a change means you accept the updated terms.
